Linh’s Wedding
Chef Kim Ooi, Maly Lee and staff are awesome. We had them cater for our ceremony in the morning. We had a meeting with them about a month prior to our even to discuss the layout, since the ceremony was held at my parent’s backyard. Prior to that Kim and Maly were both good at responding to my inquires and questions on the menu. They were prepared and organized and helped me figure out any additional items (chairs/tables) that I would need in order to make my event a success.
The day of, everyone came early to set up for the event. It was so professional. Chef Kim brought out all the fireworks. The food looked so good and tasted even better. The staff were helpful in distributing the pass appetizers and the bartender in mixing drinks. The price was affordable too.
On our menu were: 1) baby scallops (2) crabcakes (3)shortribs (4)dumplings (5)sundried tomato and spinich sandwich (6) chicken sandwich(7)truffle mac and cheese (8) wild mushroom risotto ball (9)Apple Tart (10) Chocolate Truffle and (11)Framer Markets Fruits w/ brandy cream…yum yum. – Linh V.

This company has been serving events at my place of employment for awhile now and they continue to surprise me. Their menu and options are vast and they have amazing presentation. Chef Kim always outdoes himself and adds extra flair to every dish. His desserts are to die for and my favorite is his mimi food options in cute containers. – Christine M.
Amber K ‘s event
Chef Kim and Maly did an excellent job on serving our VIP guests this past weekend.
I had to arrange a VIP cocktail reception and dinner service for extremely high profile guests and I literally had two days to prepare everything. Chef Kim gladly agreed to help me with organizing this event from set up to finish and he even helped with menu selections. His team provided an excellent service and I received so many positive feedbacks from our guests.

Amee’s Wedding
Chef Kim and his team did our wedding rehearsal dinner. Every detail was as we discussed. And the food and service was excellent. Presentation was beautiful, my non-foodie husband loved the food. He even whipped up some dishes on the fly to accommodate our guests. We held the dinner in a vacation rental home, and they left everything exactly as they found it after transforming the space into a amazing dinner banquet. I came to know Chef Kim, Maly, & the exceptional team over at KOOI events, when they began catering lunches for our company.
I work for a high end legal industries firm in downtown LA, and i can honestly say that adding KOOI to our catering line-up immediately elevated our client service to the next level. Clients were beyond impressed by the variety and quality of food that Chef Kim brought in…plus he can pretty much make anything you ask for (within reason). KOOI is our hands down one of clients our favorite caterers, my companies go-to for event catering, and my personal favorite.

Chef Kim and Maly made planning my wedding a truly a pleasant experience. They came over to talk menu’s and vision, coordinated the set up with an event furniture rental company, and even helped decorate on my wedding day. And the food??? My God the food was amazing! We wanted the food to be the centerpiece of our wedding, and it was. Every guest, every family member, they all were blown away by Chef Kim’s creations.
